6. Customer Accounts & Marketing Emails

Creating an account is optional — you can always check out as a guest. Accounts are passwordless: we never store a password. Instead, we email you a secure one-time sign-in link when you want to access your account. An account stores your contact details, saved shipping address, date of birth (for age verification), marketing preference, and order history, in a secure database managed for BCW. These records were previously hosted by Neon. We send marketing emails about new wine arrivals only if you expressly opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time from your account page, via the unsubscribe option in any marketing email, or by emailing us. You may request deletion of your account and its data at any time; order records may be retained as required by law.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use functional cookies for cart, sign-in session, and site operation. We use self-hosted Umami analytics to understand site performance and improve user experience.

8. Data Retention

• Order records: minimum 3 years or as required by applicable regulations
• Age verification data: retained alongside order records
• Contact form submissions: up to 1 year

We use HTTPS/TLS encryption, PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe, and restricted access to personal information.
