Boutique Croatian Wines LLC ("BCW," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website boutiquecroatianwines.com and sells imported Croatian wine to adults 21+ in Ohio, Florida and the District of Columbia under Ohio C-2 Liquor Permit No. 10012077-4. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

3. Payment Processing & Stripe
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit or debit card numbers. Stripe handles card data through its secure payment infrastructure.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share only with service providers needed to operate the store, including Stripe for payments, Resend for email confirmations, licensed delivery carriers for shipping, and regulatory authorities as required by law.
5. Age Verification Data
Your date of birth is retained for compliance and audit purposes as required by applicable alcohol regulations.
6. Customer Accounts & Marketing Emails
Creating an account is optional — you can always check out as a guest. Accounts are passwordless: we never store a password. Instead, we email you a secure one-time sign-in link when you want to access your account. An account stores your contact details, saved shipping address, date of birth (for age verification), marketing preference, and order history, in a secure database managed for BCW. We send marketing emails about new wine arrivals only if you expressly opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time from your account page, via the unsubscribe option in any marketing email, or by emailing us. You may request deletion of your account and its data at any time; order records may be retained as required by law.
7. Cookies & Analytics
We use no marketing cookies. Your cart is saved in your browser's local storage, your sign-in uses a cookie only after you sign in, and your age confirmation is kept in session storage for the tab's session. We use self-hosted Umami analytics to understand site performance and improve the shopping experience.
Campaign, shopping and purchase measurement
We record page views, shopping steps and accepted contact or newsletter requests. Temporary per-tab storage holds campaign labels, the referring website's domain, the landing page and a random journey identifier. This lets us connect activity in that browser tab with a confirmed paid purchase and understand which sources lead to sales. The payment metadata we send to Stripe records whether analytics is allowed and, if it is, also includes the campaign labels, the referring website's domain, the landing page and the random journey identifier, so we can connect a purchase with its source. The journey is no longer used after 30 minutes without public-site navigation or shopping activity. Its browser storage is cleared on the next activity or when the tab's session ends.
Purchase measurement includes the purchase time, bottle quantity, pickup or shipping method, destination state, and wine, shipping, tax and total amounts. It is stored with our internal order record and sent to our self-hosted Umami analytics. The random journey identifier does not directly identify you, but its connection to an order means the measurement is pseudonymous, not fully anonymous. We do not send your name, email, phone number, street address, date of birth, gift message, payment-card details or raw order and payment identifiers to Umami.
Account pages, private URL parameters and customer form contents are excluded from analytics. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control suppress analytics while the website remains usable. Shopping actions are measured separately from confirmed paid orders. These choices do not delete information already collected.
8. Data Retention
- Order records: minimum 3 years or as required by applicable regulations
- Age verification data: retained alongside order records
- Contact form submissions: up to 1 year
- Analytics and purchase measurement: server-side analytics and order-linked measurement records currently have no fixed automatic deletion schedule. Expiry of the browser journey or closing the tab does not delete those records.
9. Data Security
We use HTTPS/TLS encryption, PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe, and restricted access to personal information.
10. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting info@boutiquecroatianwines.com. We respond within 30 days where required by law.
11. Children's Privacy
Our website is intended exclusively for adults 21+. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
